3 Ways to Keep the Happy while planning your Happily Ever After

You’ve got that gorgeous ring on the all important finger. You’re planning the day that will start your forever as Mr. & Mrs. So how do you keep things fun, when stress sets in? I’m happy to help!

I hope you are enjoying this fun process, but I wanted to let you know it’s OK if you feel like it’s not always fun! Planning a wedding (or any big event!) can be pretty stressful sometimes.

Things like Pinterest & Bridal Magazines mean well, but sometimes they can really make a girl feel overwhelmed, you know? So here’s 3 ways to Keep the Happy while you’re planning that “Happily Ever After:”

Planning a wedding doesn’t have to be stressful! It can be as smooth & enjoyable as you let it! Give your stress the boot with these easy strategies. 🙂

  1. Take a Wedding-Talk Free Day together. First person to mention wedding planning or anything wedding related owes the other person a kiss. (Or maybe a goody…like a candle- I LOVE good smelling candles.)

   2. Plan out and practice cooking your first meals you’ll enjoy together as newlyweds. It’s so much fun to cook together, and doing it as an engaged couple takes the pressure off if things don’t go as planned.. (Coming from someone who burned many a chicken the first few months of marriage, this practice would have been helpful..haha)

3.       Pray for each other. Take time to say a prayer for the other person in this relationship. Things are going to change overnight, & they have a lot to deal with. Pray for each other, that you’ll remember to be patient with one another, communicate freely and openly, & that you’ll always remember to serve one another with love. Pray together! There is no better stress buster than when you can take some time to pray for blessings as a couple.
So that’s it! Being engaged is fun, but it can also get stressful. I thought I would drop you a line today to let you know it’s going to be OK. I tell all of my brides this, and I’ll tell you too…

No matter what happens on your wedding day, at the end of it you will have promised your forever to your best friend.

You will have made a promise to be there for each other no matter what, and that’s the most important part! So relax, take a minute for a wedding planning discussion-free date, and enjoy this time of anticipation.

There’s no other feeling like it!
