December 09, 2017— Snow in Alabama is a rare and beautiful thing. So rare, in fact, that the mere mention of flurries and people are scurrying to their local Publix to pick up the Southerner’s mandatory snow meal of bread and milk. When you add a wedding to that, it sure makes for a memorable snow weekend!
By the time Ben and Reagan were ready to say their I do’s, the snow had already melted away, but that didn’t stop these two from getting gorgeous portraits on the grounds of their venue, Southern Home and Garden. From the stunning golden light that stick around for what seemed like hours, to the classic and timeless open air white chapel, this day couldn’t have been designed any better.
Speaking of design, Reagan and Ben were designed for each other, that much is obvious. These two high school sweethearts have the most comfortable and true kind of love. It’s the kind of love where they have their own quiet jokes and quirks, and anyone who sees them gets a little jealous of how well they fit together.
I’m allowed to say that this wedding was one of my favorites, because Ben is my brother-in-law, and Reagan is now my sister-in-law! To think that I am welcoming Reagan into the family would be wrong though.. This blonde haired beauty has been a Pettus much longer than I have, she only just made it official on this cold December day.
Getting to see the behind the scenes, from the rehearsal dinner that we were worried would be snowed out, to the sweet interactions between those fiesta Tucker ladies sure was a joy.
Add in the elegance of the magnolia leaves against the white farm tables and of course, the twinkling lights of the outdoor bar, and you have a wedding that is not only sweet to watch, but sweet to the eye as well.
Reagan & Ben,
I’m so excited to see you to starting this awesome journey of marriage. Like I said, this seems just like a formality, we’ve all known it was coming for a long time. I hope that you two will continue to grow in love and support for each other as you continue this journey as husband and wife. Ben, be sweet to Reagan. Reagan, make as much chicken and dumplin’s as you want, and make sure you send some down our way. We love y’all!!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Pettus!!
-Megan
