PLEASURE TO MEET YOU

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is capturing the details. I know many brides spend countless hours scouring Pinterest and creating a vision of what can make their day unique. I remember doing the same thing. That’s why my eye is always peeled for those special details, the touches that seperate “you” from every other couple. Be it extra bling or flower arrangements, it’s all beautiful because it shows who you are. So how do you make sure your photographer & Videographer capture the details that are important to you? Here’s a few tips!

Before the Wedding:

  • Keep the overall theme or color palette  in mind as you choose your details for your day, from the Save the Dates to the Final Invitation..the flower decisions to the way you’ll write your letter to your fiancé. All of these things can compliment each other and make gorgeous shots that you’ll value as time goes on.
  • I always talk with my couples before their wedding day (usually over a yummy coffee) and ask them “What is important for me to capture on your wedding day? Do you have a hankie that you’re going to give to your Mom with a special message on it? Any details that you added to your day to personalize it? But if your photographer or videographer doesn’t ask those questions, then mention it! They can’t know what they don’t know. You know? (ha)

The Big Day

  • Remind your photographer & videographer about the details you really want captured. In the craziness of the day, some things may get forgotten. So if it’s important to you, talk to your videographer and photographer before hand and we’ll be sure to get it!
  • Bring a copy of your invitations, save the dates, or other pretty paperworks. They make beautiful detail shots.
  • Have all the rings (both yours and his) and other details in one easy to find location so no one has to go searching the day of. Sometimes it’s a good idea to assign a specific bridesmaid as the “Details gal” in charge of knowing where all of the details are and getting them to the Photographer & Videographer. Anything that makes the day easier, you will love! Also, by having all of those details in one place, there’s less of a chance that you’ll forget something and have to send someone on a wild goose chase on the big day.
  • Have your Bouquets & other Florals delivered to where you’ll be getting ready for ease of access.
  • Don’t forget your guy! Have him show us his details, from the watch, to the tie or bowtie, to the pocket square & cufflinks. If he’s a cologne guy, have him bring it!
