When you arrive at the rolling entrance to South Eden Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia, you’re greeted by waves of Spanish moss and southern hospitality. With its wraparound porches and Chrystal chandeliers, the entire venue seems to be a truly Southern juxtaposition of “come on in and stay a while” and country club sophistication. Rooms showcase the lowcountry’s finest, with sculpted ceilings and settees in color palettes of soft pink and dusty blue. The indoor cafe is made for sipping bourbon and enjoying fried green tomatoes & the stables out back would rival any in Kentucky.
Needless to say, the plantation oozes “You MUST get married here.”
Luckily for me, (and approximately 19 other photographers) Lauren Taylor, with Taylor’d Southern Events planned and executed the most gorgeous Dusty Blue styled wedding.
Everything, from the outdoor seating area to the classic wooden farm table with the perfectly paired china made this shoot visually stunning. Add to it the gorgeous couples we got to work with and you have a filmmaker’s dream. Case in point, sweet Brittney & Ricky. These two are self-admitted gym rats who are much more comfortable in sweats and tees watching Netflix and just enjoying each other. Their wedding day is coming up soon but after this experience, I’m willing to bet these two are just itching to get back in their wedding wear and make it real!
