If you don’t know Holly, let me give you a little peek into how sweet this girl is. Minutes before the ceremony, hair and makeup in place and wearing her flowing ballgown, you didn’t find her sitting and going over details of the day or worrying about a thing. Instead, you could see her peeking through the curtains of the dressing room door, excitedly chatting to her best friend Cade about all of the people that came to support her & Chase. A minute later, that door is snatched open, an excited Holly yelling out to a little blond haired boy, who quickly runs to hug his bride. “Are you still mad at me for marrying somebody else? She jokes, smiling. The little boy hugs her and says no. Literally the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a while!
I actually first met Holly back in 2011-2012 when I had the opportunity to help her high school cheerleading squad create a competition routine. So to see her in a different setting, marrying her best friend, was so sweet. I think it’s fitting that we first met at Ashford High School, because that is exactly where she met Chase as well. In fact, these two were seeing diamonds way before the proposal, as Holly was Chase’s high school diamond doll.
Speaking of the proposal, it was so sweet. Holly says it happened right after returning from Las Vegas for her 21st birthday. “We were heading to the beach with other our families. I was told it was for family pictures. I had picked out everyones outfits and made sure we all matched. We get to the beach and all the parents just happen to be running late. I of course am not happy about this and refuse to get out of the car because my hair will fall. He finally makes me get out and the last thing I said before he proposed was “fine, but I am not wearing shoes.” We got on the beach and start to take a couple pictures, then he gets on one knee.” And the rest, as they say, is history!
Holly & her bridesmaids had so much fun getting ready, dressed in matching robes, sipping mimosas & enjoying the fun moments before it was time to get dressed.
Chase got dressed with his groomsmen & dad in the groom’s room, watching football and enjoying football games. Seeing Chase’s Mom helping him with his boutonnière (which was made with a gold rifle shell-so neat!) was the sweetest thing. A Mother’s love never stops, no matter the age or time of life.
Holly & Chase,
I am so thankful I got to be there to film your day. Seeing you two together and how happy you make each other made my job so easy! I hope you’ll always have fun together, will always say yes to sitting on the back of a truck tailgate in boots, and cherish these next few days of being newlyweds.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Benton!!
