It only takes a few minutes of talking with Meredith to feel completely comfortable around her. Maybe that’s because she is such a welcoming person, full of laughs and witty jokes, or maybe it’s her clinical training as a psychiatrist..
Either way, from the moment we met at a workshop in Charleston, SC, we knew we had a lot in common! Also, she isn’t afraid to be a little goofy, like me, so obviously it’s a match made in photographer-videographer friendship heaven!
From her Vineyard Vines pink pullover to her simply southern style of dressing her little boy, Lachlan, every part of Meredith screams coastal class. So when she asked me to help her share her heart for her southern clients, I knew that we just had to make the trip back to the low-country coastal city of Charleston.
Meredith’s favorite places are at the beach and marina, so of course we featured those locations in her brand film. (With special help from my brother, Hunter, and his boat “Blue Bennett.”) The Charleston City Marina and Sullivan’s Island made for the perfect locations for this preppy photographer’s film. Also, her experiences as a Momma play a key role in her heart for serving her clients and in capturing memories for families. Seeing little Lachlan running up to hug his Momma is hands down one of the sweetest things I’ve ever filmed.
Most importantly, seeing the ease and fun her clients had while being photographed tells me that her warm and complimentary spirit comes across loud and clear through her photography. Add in the incredibly beautiful images she creates for them and you’ve got an all around wonderful experience.
