It all began in 2006.
I remember being in high school and registering to be a library aide simply because our librarian subscribed to great wedding magazines. (Also, I was the president of the Carpe Libras- where my best friend and I would eat Panera Bread cinnamon crunch bagels and talk about our favorite books…) I would sit in the quiet library the entire period, scouring the magazines’ pages. I’d plan different weddings, based off of the season. “Just insert groom here,” I’d say. But that was just the dreams and fantasies of a young girl. At that time all I saw was the decor and color schemes, the dress and the entertainment. I didn’t understand the covenant that is made with those words, “to have and to hold, until death do us part.”
What I learned is that a wedding is more than a pretty picture, it’s a sacred, visual and physical beginning of a promise you make to your person, and to God.
- Family is so important to me, and my goal is to one day be able to quit my full time job as a high school teacher to be a stay at home Mom and run MPV full time.
- I’ve always loved storytelling, from my days as a news reporter and anchor, to today, telling the story of your wedding days.
- Serving others is a passion of mine, and I love that I get to serve brides and grooms who hire me. My service starts the minute we get together over coffee (marble mocha for me please!) and doesn’t stop after the final video is delivered. I believe in loving on my clients, and try my best to give them a GREAT experience!
- I want my daughter to be proud of her momma, watching me pursue my dreams of being a professional videographer and business owner.
- I love meeting new people, and connecting with other creative minded people! If you’re a photographer, videographer, graphic designer, musician, whatever.. I’d love to meet you! I’m inspired daily by other creatives’ works!
So that’s it! A small glimpse of why I do what I do. I love doing it, challenges and all! I can’t wait to add more reasons to this list as my business grows.
