“White walls! Just think White Walls!” That was what Audrey reminded her bridesmaids before they opened their eyes to see her in her stunning H&M wedding gown. The “white walls” they are referring to? That would be the dreamy, light and airy setting of an Oak Meadow Event Center wedding day.
Audrey and Jonathan’s Oak Meadow event center wedding was equal parts bittersweet, emotional, fun and endearing. Surrounded by family and friends, this stunning bride finally married “her Solomon.” And we cried. (Because, THAT LETTER! THOSE VOWS! You have got to listen to this sweetness.)
Audrey & Jonathan
These two first saw each other at Saturday Morning Prayer, and then Audrey started to see him more frequently as she was serving at their church. She explained to us that ” a while later, long after he held the church door open for me and asked for my number, I found out that he had been attending multiple services on Sunday so he could have more opportunities to work up the nerve to talk to me!”
It only made sense that Jonathan would propose in the church where they met and fell in love. He surprised Audrey with a display of many of their favorite moments in photos, then, amid lines of candles along the aisles, he dropped to one knee and proposed.
The Wedding Day
Audrey and Jonathan were both calm and collected as they got ready for their ceremony. After an emotional first look with her Daddy, Audrey relaxed with her bridesmaids while Jonathan spent time with his groomsmen. Kelsey and I, of course, had the BEST time working again with Katie & Alec Photography… it’s a real #dreamteam, y’all.
Letters, Vows, Bridges
As you’ll hear in their film, these two are fabulous writers, and their families are fabulous speech givers! From their letters to their personal vows, they blew everyone away with their words of love and affirmation. When the ceremony began, the Samford string quartet began playing. As the doors opened, we all collectively drew our breath. The music swelled, and we snuck a peek at Jonathan. We could tell that in that moment, he felt like the luckiest man in the world.
Audrey & Jonathan,
Thank you so much for allowing us to capture these memories for you. We may be a little salty that we didn’t get to explore Europe with you two (for an entire month!) but we are glad we got to visit Oak Meadow to film your day. Wishing y’all the best as you continue serving the Lord together in marriage!
