Teshua Farms Pumpkin Patch- Westover, AL
Is it really fall if you don’t visit the pumkin patch?? There is the cutest little patch over in Westover, AL (near Chelsea!) called Teshua Farms. It’s owned and operated by the sweetest family on their private farmland. Since my parents, (Miss B’s Nonnie & Papa J) live in Chelsea, Teshua Farms was the perfect place to take Bennett to pick out her fall pumpkin! Also, I found these Osh Kosh overalls at Target last week, therefore a pumkin patch or farm photo/video session was needed! #Momlife
Fun for the Whole Family
Teshua Farms had plenty of little activities for our busy B. First we swung by the tractor for a quick photo-op with Nonnie & Papa J. (Momma wasn’t thrilled with the way the light was but said..present over perfect! right? #photographermomproblems) Then, we mozied on over to the burlap sack slide and pumpkin launch. After beaming a few scarecrows with mini-pumpkins, Bennett decided it was time to run through the hay maze. Thank goodness for Papa J’s..who are willing to follow a toddler all around a winding puzzle of a maze with a big smile on their face!
Bennett LOVES a good sensory bin, and I LOVED that Teshua Farms had two large corn bins for her to play with and explore. Note– they will want to get in the bins. They will also want YOU to get in the bins. You weigh more than them and will sink. You will also be finding corn in your pants and shoes for the next few days. *shrug*
The petting zoo was definitely Miss B’s favorite part! She was just giddy, getting to love on the white rabbits and say hello to the lambs, chickens and ponies (heaven forbid you call them horses–she will quickly correct you.) She even got to look in the chicken coop for freshly laid eggs!
The Pumpkin Patch
Miss B took finding the perfect pumpkin very seriously, perusing through each row and picking up several pumpkins to inspect. Finally, she found THE ONE and carried it with her over to enjoy the hay bale tractor ride. (Note here–if your kiddo doesn’t like loud noises, which B doesn’t, this is great because the tractors are not loud!) Momma also found a white flat pumpkin that will make a pretty decorative item on my front porch! 😉 Admission to the patch was $10 each, with Miss B getting in free, and that $10 included a pumpkin to take home! That’s a great deal!
TL:DR
Overall, we had a great time at Teshua Farms! The patch was well run, clean (the porta potties didn’t even smell!) and the folks were so sweet to our Miss B. I can’t wait to go back next year!!
