Birmingham Wedding Videographer
A little rain didn’t damper the beauty of Ashley and James’s The Barn at Shady Lane wedding day. They decided to move their ceremony from the outdoor space to the stunning indoor ceremony location, and we loved how regal it looked! In fact, the sun came out just in time for their first look and ceremony. Wait until you see how beautiful Ashley’s walk down the aisle was!
Ashley and James met in Chelsea, after James graduated from college and returned home for work. As it turned out, James was best friends with Ashley’s older brother. Ashley didn’t drive much, so she asked him for a ride home one night after a get-together with friends. One Jonas Brothers car ride later, and these two started to fall for each other.

We loved how Ashley and James personalized their Birmingham wedding venue with drapery, lights, and a custom crest. Any southern bride would get a little starry-eyed seeing their beautiful invitations, and the crest decorating the bar as well as their koozies. Bonus points: they served guests a full taco bar and lime margaritas! TACO BOUT a party. 😉
Details aside, the best part of the day was watching these two best friends promise to love, honor, and respect each other for the rest of their lives. Their two pups made a special appearance…(aka their “kids”) and their wedding day love letters made our hearts smile. Also, I don’t know if there has been a better groom reaction than James’s when he saw Ashley for the first time. And who can blame him? She was a striking bride!
