Custom Tented Wedding
As a little girl, Maggie envisioned her perfect wedding day. She scoured the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings, clipping images and stories. Carefully tucking them into protective sleeves in a binder, she dreamt about what it all would look like. Maggie and Andrew met at the University of Arkansas where Andrew was Student Body President. He swept the former Miss Arkansas off of her feet, and the rest is history.
Maggie and Andrew traveled from Arkansas to have their Pursell Farms Destination Wedding this spring. They invited family and friends along to enjoy the celebration.
The couple said their vows in front of the large oak tree adorned with flowers. After a cocktail hour featuring his and hers cocktails, they danced the night away under a custom tent. Each detail was designed and produced by the incredible team at Invision Events.
Truly Personalized Experience
Each detail of the day reflected the couple’s story. Nods to their deeply rooted faith and their love and nostalgia for France could be seen throughout the day. These details started with the couple’s custom stationery and continued with the late-night macaron pass for guests. As their filmmakers, it was important to us to capture these details in an intentional way, giving each nod a chance to hold its own. We loved flying our drone to showcase the pristine property of Pursell Farms and how the custom tent complimented it.
Maggie wore a classic wedding gown from Lela Rose for the ceremony. Her walk down the aisle took our breath away, as the sun peeked through the sky perfectly illuminating her veil. We allow movement in our films that match the tone of the scene, and in this instance, we chose to smoothly follow as she walked down the aisle. After exchanging vows, she changed into a different dress for the reception–one custom designed by her grandmother, Helen Benton. You can catch several glimpses of Mrs. Helen throughout the film, stunning in her lavender evening gown.
Super8 Wedding Film
The subtle nods to France lent themselves perfectly to our Super 8mm film camera. We love how the nostalgic captures on 8mm create a dream-like memory for our clients. Watching Super8 film is akin to walking through a memory- perfectly hazy yet romantic. We encourage our clients to add this service to their collection whenever they can, as it is a feeling like no other. We do not use trendy filters, as we believe that wedding films should be timeless. Lastly, we were especially excited to license their first dance song, La Vie en Rose, for this portion of their film. The original recording by Edith Pilaf has heart and as the lyrics say, showcases the rosy outlook on life a person tends to have on the day of their wedding.
We absolutely adore this couple, their families, and this team of vendors!
