I love Mobile, AL. The downtown area, the art festivals..the beignets! I especially love it when I’m visiting with my best friend, celebrating her upcoming marriage.
Literally a week before this trip, I got my new ( & now favorite) camera, the Sony A7s, so I just had to take it with us to capture all the fun & figure out how it worked.
So maybe I’m a little late..ok a good six months late..but since I had a week in between weddings, I’ve finally had time to finish the video blog on Amanda’s Bachelorette party! We had the best time, and since Miss B was only six months old, & very attached to her momma, she got to come along with us! My sweet momma also came along and kept B while we explored the city.
But don’t worry— we totally had to do a few Hangover-inspired photo ops, with our very own “Baby Carlos.”
We also got to brunch at the famous “A Spot of Tea” and y’all…that was amazing! Mom & I got garden omelets and I -of course- had to try the tea. So good. We also ate at the BlueGill Restaurant, where I had the yummiest shrimp & grits with creole sauce. We were lucky enough to be in Mobile during an arts & crafts fair, so we got to walk around all the booths, chatting with vendors and shopping their homemade wares. The other girls & Amanda got to have a relaxing spa day while Miss B, my Mom & me got some needed snuggles. (Apparently bringing a baby into a spa is frowned upon…haha) All in all, we had the best time!
Amanda married the love of her life, Will, on November 19, 2016, & I couldn’t have been happier to be there standing next to her (and behind the camera!) that day. Nowadays we keep up with each other mostly through snap chat & her new blog. Watching all the fun we had at this trip makes me miss her even more.
