Springtime Aspen Wedding
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Elk Mountain Range, Lauren and Eli’s Aspen Wedding day was a celebration of love, family, and the natural splendor that surrounds Aspen. From the first look to the enchanting ceremony and the gondola rides to the peak of the mountain, every moment was meticulously planned to create a dream wedding that would leave a lasting impression on each and every guest.
To begin their wedding day on a truly magical note, Lauren and Eli opted for a first look at a property nestled high up the mountain near Lauren’s father’s home. Overlooking a picturesque lake and boasting breathtaking views, this serene setting provided the perfect backdrop for the couple to have an intimate and heartfelt moment before the ceremonial festivities began.
The Little Nell Wedding Venue
For their ceremony, Lauren and Eli chose the iconic Little Nell overlook, known for its 360-degree mountain view. This picture-perfect location was a testament to their love story and created an awe-inspiring setting as they exchanged their vows. Adding a touch of cultural significance, Eli’s father serenaded the couple with a traditional wedding song, celebrating his heritage and infusing the ceremony with heartfelt emotion. As the ceremony concluded, the couple was showered in a cascade of rose petals.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to indulge in an extraordinary cocktail hour at AspenX, an exclusive venue adorned with captivating photographs by Slim Aarons. The recently renovated space boasted modern mountaintop chic decor, setting the stage for an elegant and sophisticated affair. As guests mingled and enjoyed the ambiance at an astonishing 11,000 feet above sea level, trays of champagne circulated, an open bar awaited, and hors d’oeuvres satisfied their palates. The elevated experience was a testament to the couple’s commitment to ensuring their guests had an unforgettable time.
FUN Reception at the Sundeck
As the sun began its descent over the mountain, guests were escorted to the Sundeck in a lively NOLA-style second-line procession, creating an atmosphere of joyful celebration. Finding their seats for the plated dinner, they were captivated by the awe-inspiring panoramic views that stretched as far as the eye could see. With the natural beauty of Aspen serving as the backdrop, guests enjoyed a delectable meal as the sunset bathed the surroundings in a warm and romantic glow. The evening was a perfect blend of scenic splendor, culinary delights, and joyful company.
Our Video Goals
Lauren and Eli are so special to us, and we knew their film had to be the perfect blend of classic romance and PARTY vibes. (Megan was also VERY pregnant filming their wedding weekend, but handled it like a trooper!) We approached their wedding weekend knowing we wanted to get as much footage as possible of the beautiful Aspen scenery, from the downtown area where they had their rehearsal dinner to the mountaintop for their wedding day at The Little Nell.
We also knew the party would be a lively one since the incredible Jordan Kahn Orchestra was slated to be the reception Entertainment! The dance floor stayed packed (when guests weren’t enjoying the Oxygen bar or taking selfies outside on the sundeck!) To end the night, the couple shared a private last dance before being sent off to the after-party, which was so precious. We loved being able to capture these memories for the Doctors Awad!
