PLEASURE TO MEET YOU

Forsyth Park Wedding

Molly & Marcus had the most beautiful Savannah wedding- hands down- and we were so thrilled to be a part of it! Their wedding day featured feather plumes, cascading spanish moss covering old oak trees, and a classic black and white affair–all featuring this amazing couple that gave us major “Bonnie & Clyde” vibes! (In the best way possible. 😉)

Gatsby himself couldn’t have thrown a finer soirée! And the love Molly and Marcus share could certainly rival any love story written by Fitzgerald.

Savannah Wedding Videographer

Molly & Marcus planned the ultimate Savannah wedding day, from getting dressed at the Mansion at Forsyth Park, to their stunning reception at Garibaldi’s downtown.

These two met in Atlanta and hit it off immediately, but funny enough, these two are from the same small town with less than 9,000 people.

Forsyth Park Engagement

I asked Molly to tell us ALL the details of their engagement and she hit it out of the park! (As did Marcus when he proposed!) Molly told us, “The week before our anniversary, Marcus told me he was making reservations at The Olde Pink House and he was going to take me to dinner to celebrate. I was excited because I hadn’t been before, plus he said we would get dressed up since it was a special occasion.

The days leading up to our date night, I started to get suspicious and wondered if Marcus was going to propose that night. I quickly dismissed these suspicions because I thought, “Well he hasn’t even had an opportunity to talk to my dad yet. So I know he won’t do it until he talks to him.” I found out afterwards that Marcus actually talked to my dad 6 months before he proposed! Marcus had a car service come pick us up to take us to dinner. Right when we got in the car, the driver said – “So we’re going to the Armstrong House?”

At this point, I still was not familiar with Savannah geography. So I just assumed Marcus told him the closest “landmark” because it would be easier to get there that way. Little did I know, The Olde Pink House is a 20 minute walk from the Armstrong House. So why would the driver drop us off there, right? We reached our destination and started to walk through Forsyth Park toward the park’s iconic fountain. Marcus was oddly quiet and I was cluelessly looking around, trying to find the Pink House. I finally asked, “Where are we going?” and Marcus didn’t say a word.

The Big Moment

Seconds passed and he turned toward me and said, “Before we go, there is something I wanted to ask you…”. Then he dropped on one knee and asked me those 2 magical words. Only two words instead of four because before he could finish the question I exclaimed, “YES!”. Then followed all the excitement and the feeling of us being the only two people in the world.

Moments later, Marcus points out that he hired a secret photographer to capture this moment for us! Marcus admitted that he didn’t actually make reservations at the Pink House. We were actually going to walk across the park and dine at the oh so wonderful 700 Drayton, which is the restaurant inside the Mansion on Forsyth Park. He planned the whole night perfectly and it couldn’t have gone any better!!

Stunning Wedding Film

Kelsey and I were overjoyed to travel to Savannah and film this sweet couple’s big day. Many times, folks ask us “what is your favorite part of what you do?” Our answer is simple. We love being that joyful, calming presence helping our couples preserve every single wonderful feeling that happens on their wedding day/wedding weekend.

Honestly, we felt like family after getting to film Molly & Marcus’s rehearsal dinner at Prohibition, then their wedding day downtown. While editing, I’ve been a mess, because this couple is so special to us! We hope y’all enjoy their film!
